I find speaking someone’s language the best way to connect with them. French is particularly interesting—everything has a gender! Reading Astérix helped me explore the culture beyond clichés like croissants, Paris, or romance. Grammar, pronunciation, and listening were challenging after years of English. If I have the chance, I’d love to continue learning French in future courses. If not, I plan to keep learning through YouTube, penpals on websites like Conversation Exchange (as my lecturer recommended), or French friends to integrate the language into daily life.
